Having just paid a quick visit over to Spiritof12.com, I happened to come across the official chapter banners of two chapters in the Photo section. The chapters in question were Midwest and an Alaska chapter whose precise name I cannot recall.
Heres the question, yes amongst the group we have our own individual banners and flags. But do we have our own official chapter banner?

As far as I'm aware (and Pops) the answer is no.

We don't have an official banner and it's a point well raised.

We do have some Chapter funds available if this was thought to be a good use of them.

Obviously we'd need the right design etc so if anyone has any ideas we could kick them off on here.

I've always liked the logo that Ben did when he designed the site, the middle panel of the below

I'm not sure if I've got hold of the wrong end of the stick but I thought we were after a flag that could be taken on trips to Seattle, Wembley, and group meets, is that right?

If so would it not have to be in landscape orientation rather than portrait?

I suspect we're not going to get much better in terms of design but if it is to be refined I think it would look better with Ireland included!

Obviously we'll need to price it up as well.

Any more thoughts???

Whilst it looks good, the coach would have a fit if he saw a seahawk carrying the ball in one talon like that....

Matt,

I love it

. But I think the Union Jack should be added in the upper left corner so as to better inform our American friends what we're all about.

Maybe also some way of indicating that we also have members from other European countries, though there isn't a simple way of doing that.

By the way, there seem to be plenty of Seahawks supporting Brits on Facebook. Maybe we could get a Facebook group going and do a little bit of recruiting for the chapter and this forum through there.

I don't know if there are Seahawks fans in N.Ireland, but if there are you are unlikely to recruit them by excluding the province from the graphic.

Is your work colleague a fenian by any chance ? :wink:

Comments welcomed from all. I hasten to add this is not the finished article. We can add N Ireland or a Union Jack or add it to a banner if that is what the masses desire. Nothing is carved in stone yet.

Incidentally, my colleague has now left the company. Anyone else good at this kind of stuff?

Hmmm - if we're a "UK" Seahawkers chapter, Matt, then NI should be included regardless of what the masses think. Otherwise I really like this concept!

Yes we should have a dedicated travelling banner, which should have the Union Flag somewhere. But we should have an official chapter banner the same as all the other chapters..

A great graphic guys. Personally, I think once NI is reinstated, all it then needs, is for the British Isles Map to be overlaid with the Union Flag and we're sorted! Just my two-penneth anyway.

Spoke briefly to a Northern Irish speaking SEAHAWK fan wearing an ALEXANDER 37 shirt at the GIANTS/DOLPHINS game at WEMBLEY so they do exist :wink:
